The Baptist Convention of New Mexico's Cricket Pairett (right) represented New Mexico Disaster Relief at the North American Mission Board's SEND Luncheon. Kevin Ezell, NAMB president, recognized DR volunteers present in honor of the 50th anniversary of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. An important part of the SBC annual meeting is worship. Here, Julio Arriola (far right), global worship pastor of Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas, leads worship during the final session of the 2016 annual meeting in St. Louis. Arriola coordinated worship for the entire annual meeting, serving as convention music director. Music and worship styles vary from session to session and even within sessions.

Pictured are Doris Opoku, Georgia Herod, Liz Macllean, Connie Dixon, Anne Scoggins, and Jennifer Hamilton, Baptist Convention of New England WMU executive director.

On Sunday morning, a group of people attending the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in St. Louis organized and impromptu worship service in the lower lobby of the St. Louis Marriott Grand Hotel. The sound of the guitar and singing drew attention of numerous guests on the regular lobby level. One by one, guests wandered to the rail overlooking the area where the group gathered to see where the sound originated.
