Scripture: Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Key Ideas:

Sheep know their shepherd from among other shepherds. He is distinct. They know the difference.

Sheep experience satisfaction with their shepherd. They do not look for other shepherds.

A human being can set his or her mind to focus on one shepherd.

Application:

What activities lure me away from my allegiance to God?

At what level is my own satisfaction with God?

In what activities do I engage so that I will receive all I need from Him.

How aware am I of God’s constant care and protection over my life?

Takeaway:

I can keep myself to God alone and satisfy myself with Him.
