Jerusalem

Travlers to Israel on Morin’s trip will visit the Western Wall of the ancient temple mount in Jerusalem. The site is considered holy and is a prayer destination for many Christian and Jewish pilgrims.

ALBUQUERQUE (BNM) - Baptist Convention of New Mexico’s Leadership Development Team leader, Lamar Morin, will host an eleven-day trip to Israel in late 2020. The Bible Comes to Life, an Israeli-based travel company, is organizing the trip.

The trip will last Oct. 26 - Nov. 5, 2020. According to an informational handout, travelers “will visit the Garden Tomb, Gethsemane, the Western Wall, take a ride on the Sea of Galilee, visit Masada, float on the Dead Sea, see the Dead Sea Scrolls, [visit] Capernaum and more.”

The trip features round-trip international air transportation, first-class and deluxe hotels, land transportation, daily breakfast and dinner, entrance fees to all attractions, local medical insurance, tips and gratuities, according to the handout. It says that travel insurance is not included, but is “strongly recommended.”

The trip is $4,600 per person in a double room or $5,535 for a single room. A $300 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. The second payment of $2,150 is due by May 29, 2020, and the final balance of $2,150 is due by Aug. 12, 2020. Travelers must have a current United States passport.

For details, interested individuals should contact Morin at 505-924-2329 or travel agent Jackie Lee at 513-266-0272.

The trip is not a BCNM sponsored activity, so information is not on the convention’s website. But, brochures are available at BCNM offices or from Morin.
