The Capitol Prayer Dinner

The Capitol Prayer Dinner will take place on Wednesday, January 22, at 6:00pm at First Baptist Church, Santa Fe.

ALBUQUERQUE (BNM) - The Baptist Convention of New Mexico's Christian Life Committee is planning a new event, The Capitol Prayer Dinner, to meet on Wednesday night of the first week of 2020's New Mexico legislative session.

The event focuses on prayer for legislators and state leaders and for the moral climate of the state.

The focus intends to help churches mobilize New Mexico Baptists to pray before they take action to call legislators and other state leaders concerning moral matters. The event compliments the convention's ongoing efforts to mobilize Christians into action on matters of moral concern.

The event will take place at First Baptist Church, Santa Fe, on Wednesday, January 22, at 6:00p.m. The day is also "Pastor's Day" at the Roundhouse.

The guided prayer service will follow a complimentary dinner served by the church. Reservations are required for the event. To RSVP, call (505) 924-2311 or visit on or before January 17.
