Clay and Larrissa Pope

ALBUQUERQUE (BNM) – Clay Pope started his position as manager of Inlow Baptist Camp on Nov. 16. Pope and his wife, Larrissa, are members of First Baptist Church, Estancia, where Pope is an ordained deacon. After joining the church in 1996, Pope became a vital part of its ministry. He served as a Sunday school teacher for youth and adults, was a youth group leader and worked as an audio/visual technician. Pope is also an usher and a building and grounds committee member. He fills the pulpit when the pastor, Jonathan Richard, is unavailable.

Before Nov. 16, Pope was the senior production manager for Full Measure Kitchen & Bath, Albuquerque. He also owns Brother Builders General Contractor, Estancia.

Pope annually volunteers at the New Mexico State Fair, manning the Baptist Convention of New Mexico’s diaper-changing booth. For eight years, Pope supervised volunteer construction crews for Better Together Mexico Missions. The organization constructs church buildings, schools and parsonages in Mexico.

The Popes have four children. Three are married. The youngest attends Eastern New Mexico University, Portales.
